Like a Rockstar!

Ethan is officially potty trained! And I mean he is in underwear 24 hours a day.... yes, that means even at night. He's over his fear of loud flushing toilets (finally)... so we haven't had any troubles at all. He is mister independent... no help from Mama or Daddy needed. He retreats to the toilet (or backyard) all on his own... apparently this kid has been more than ready to do this for some time. Woooo!!! Hoooo!!!!

Finally! We are going to be the parents of a little girl!

Beautiful day.

Easter was perfect this year. Perfect. Or so I think.
Church was nice... the children all participated in the flowering of the cross. I remember doing this once when I was about 6 or 7, I thought it was really neat and I hope Dylan remembers it as being special for years to come. 
We headed over to Christy & Joe's casa for the rest of the day....

Ethan was very excited to start!  Lacy helped him hunt eggs.

Dylan turned 8 on March 27th. At 9:23 a.m. to be exact. I cant believe he is already eight and in 2nd grade... wasnt he just born like yesterday?! Wow time sure flies when you're havin' kids! We celebrated all day long! All of us were up at 6:30 a.m. (on a Saturday) and Dylan opened all his birthday cards and his gift that came in the mail. He enjoyed a morning of video games! Dylan has also been begging to get a new haircut for his bday, so Chad took him... Ethan and I got busy baking! They also stopped by Sonic on the way home for Dylan's free honor roll slushee! Then we took our boys + cousin Jayce to play at Chuck E. Cheese... afterwards home for cupcakes & the BIG present! Can we say SPOILED?!!!!

Ethan was a big help... taste testing anyway.

He wanted no part in holding the mixer! Can you tell?!

His day finally came!

Dylan's regular yearly eye exam.

Except one thing... he needs a prescription this time around.
And this kid could not have been happier! Very surprising to me.
He picked out several to try on.... and here were his 2 faves:

pair #2... come with a sunglasses attachment.

That sealed the deal. Dylan picked these for their Rockstar appeal.

He LOVES them!

Now we just need to get this kid some braces!
