Halloween.... an all day event!

So Halloween this year was extra special! I think we celebrated all month in all sorts of ways.... a trip to the zoo, several trunk or treats & a couple carnivals. This year we didn't get a chance to make it out to a pumpkin patch... a little bit of a bummer for me, that is my favorite. I guess Abilene isn't too big on pumpkin patches. So Im thinkin' next year we will have to do a little bit of traveling to see one. Back to Halloween day.... it was an all day thing in our house this year. My mom came down to help out since Chad had to work (surprise! surprise!) and we started at like 3 or something close to it. Church carnival numero uno was pretty cool, the boys played lots of games, did jumpers & most importantly we did a hay ride! I LOVE hay rides. They are awesome. Then we went on to the trunk or treat at church numero dos {Christy & Joe's} and it was so much fun! The boys did the trunk or treat a couple rounds there & it was huge since they joined together with the church across the street! This is where their buckets were loaded down with candy! The boys also got their faces painted & we all ate hot dogs and drank lemonade. It was great! Then on to church numero tres.... this was the jackpot carnival. They gave out popcorn, cotton candy & glowsticks...and had every game imaginable, live christian contemporary music, and more C-A-N-D-Y! After all the trunk or treats & carnival fun... it was time meet up at mi casa & go for the real deal trick-or-treating. The best part of the entire day, hands down. Mostly because Daddy left work early to join us! And all the cousins that live in Abilene were there together... having a great time. We. Loved. It.

Ethan actually let them paint this little car on his face & a star on the other cheek. He never ever, ever lets anyone paint his face. He is usually a big chicken. So I was very surprised! Speaking of, that is why he was not dressed up this year. He was a super pansy (or scrooge if you will)... extremely adament about not wearing a costume. Dang it. Maybe next year.
There's my cutie lil' froggie baby! He got lots of attention.
The End. {to a great night}
Hope everyone had a great Halloween this year!
XOXO's
