It's all about the NESS. lol. Anywho. If you've never seen You, Me & Dupree... then you just wont get that. Oh well! Its funny, to me. Life in our little corner of the world has been busy & I keep having like a million things to post on, but I cant get it all in. But Im going to try to cram as many pics & offer the short version of a few happenings lately. Here goes....

Siamese Tooth..

Take a look at that tooth on the bottom row... yeah, the one that is supposed to be TWO teeth.Photobucket

I think we are going to go broke with our children's dental bills in the years to come. Straight teeth are definitely not a strong point in mine or Chad's family. {apparently bizarre teeth are}

Halloween.... an all day event!

So Halloween this year was extra special! I think we celebrated all month in all sorts of ways.... a trip to the zoo, several trunk or treats & a couple carnivals. This year we didn't get a chance to make it out to a pumpkin patch... a little bit of a bummer for me, that is my favorite. I guess Abilene isn't too big on pumpkin patches. So Im thinkin' next year we will have to do a little bit of traveling to see one. Back to Halloween day.... it was an all day thing in our house this year. My mom came down to help out since Chad had to work (surprise! surprise!) and we started at like 3 or something close to it. Church carnival numero uno was pretty cool, the boys played lots of games, did jumpers & most importantly we did a hay ride! I LOVE hay rides. They are awesome. Then we went on to the trunk or treat at church numero dos {Christy & Joe's} and it was so much fun! The boys did the trunk or treat a couple rounds there & it was huge since they joined together with the church across the street! This is where their buckets were loaded down with candy! The boys also got their faces painted & we all ate hot dogs and drank lemonade. It was great! Then on to church numero tres.... this was the jackpot carnival. They gave out popcorn, cotton candy & glowsticks...and had every game imaginable, live christian contemporary music, and more C-A-N-D-Y! After all the trunk or treats & carnival fun... it was time meet up at mi casa & go for the real deal trick-or-treating. The best part of the entire day, hands down. Mostly because Daddy left work early to join us! And all the cousins that live in Abilene were there together... having a great time. We. Loved. It.

{Mrs. Incredible & The Heathen}

{Dash, Mrs. Incredible, Heathen Ethan & Ironman}
Christy, me & the boys.
Ethan actually let them paint this little car on his face & a star on the other cheek. He never ever, ever lets anyone paint his face. He is usually a big chicken. So I was very surprised! Speaking of, that is why he was not dressed up this year. He was a super pansy (or scrooge if you will)... extremely adament about not wearing a costume. Dang it. Maybe next year.
There's my cutie lil' froggie baby! He got lots of attention.
The End. {to a great night}
Hope everyone had a great Halloween this year!
XOXO's

*thinking of you today Stephanie. We love you. So much.
You are so strong.

*Happy 4th Anniversary to two very awesome people!
We love you Tim & Melissa.

A Birthday for good ole Daddy-O!

the 30th birthday IS a big deal so we tried to make Daddy feel oh so loved. So the morning of Chad's birthday (Oct 16th, in case you didnt know) Ethan & I baked him a cake. Ethan of course agreed to be my taste-tester....

in more ways than one.....

while the cake was cooling on the oven Ethan helped himself to some cake. OH, that heathen child! However, I am an awesome cake icer and you couldnt tell that a corner of the cake was almost missing entirely. Awesome, I am. (and to anyone who ate this cake along with us, I did NOT feed you any from that side of the cake.)

Old man Chad & his T-H-I-R-T-Y birthday candles!
And since mister-I-work-for-the-FAA had to work all day... we stayed up late to sing & eat cake. The kids were so excited! And we also, celebrated mister FAA's {aka OLD FART} birthday with a dinner & awesome company on Sunday. We had a great time and enjoyed ham, funeral potatoes {how appropriate} , green beans, hawaiian rolls...and more dessert! Raspberry cheesecake. mmmm!

we made this too!
they sure ♥ their daddy!

And I do too.... with my whole heart.
Hope we made his day happy.

nights like this....

are the best. hands down.
dylan showin' off his smooth moves.
...eventually we too shall join the trend and own a trampoline.
mostly because chad wants to show off his mad skills.
{& prove he's not getting old}
...really ethan loves this. he's a crazy child, just like his daddy.

oh. the hubster. he is so much fun. the kids dig it, just as much as i do watching.

lovin' on mr. aiden... he was our little heater.

we all got together for this guy seen above. it was his birthday! {well last thurs, but christy was out of town} so we celebrated sunday evening... with food galore! steaks .n. burgers, corn on the cob, baked patatoes & baked beans. wow. and if thats not enough... 2 pies. since i couldnt seem to make up my mind as to which looked the very best. joe also made homemade banana pudding. so yummy. and i'm so happy he gave us a reason to celebrate. i love that he is part of my family....and that he makes my sister happy.
Photobucket
And on an unrelated note:
...chub-a-dub-dub little aiden in the tub
the boys....and a few of their goodies from grandma & g-daddy!
they are having sooooo much fun with the dolphin whistles.... and ethan's drum. my parents, aunt & my sweet gram went on a cruise to the mexican riviera. where they swam with dolphins & rode horses along the beach.... things i'll just dream about for now.
I may or may not be a little jealous.

Stephanie Nielson {Nie Nie Dialogues} will be on Oprah on Wednesday, October 7th. If you haven't heard her story or read her blog.... you will still love the show nonetheless. That's a promise. These two posts of hers are absolute must reads Love & Chickie. Her sister, Courtney {C Jane enjoy it} will be part of it as well. Read this. Love them both. And I so wish we had cable right now!

The 26th of September.

{We're on the Move}
Last Saturday was the Memory Walk for Alzheimer's at the Abilene Zoo. Chad, the boys & I walked for the cause. Along with Christy, Joe, Jayce, John & Ashleigh and Melissa, Kade & Maira. There was a huge turnout... which is awesome! However, the "walk" was more like a leisurely little stroll to say the least. Now we've never done this before so maybe it's because alot of the participants are people affected by Alzheimer's themselves (or their spouses) or if it's because it took place inside the zoo. All I know is that when you have 8 kids on your team walking past those cute little animals is almost impossible. Anyhow, next year I'll know a little more what to expect....and hopefully will raise some money. This year we dedicate our walk to Pop, Grandma Nielsen, Papa Harris & Joe's Grandmother too.... we all signed a paper forget me not for each of them.

Second half of the day & into the night....
